Therapist Position

We are beyond excited to be able to offer the opportunity for our practice to EXPAND!

 

We are hiring for multiple therapist positions for in-person and/or virtual counseling sessions in Southaven or Oxford Mississippi!!

We are looking for licensed (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) or provisionally licensed (P-LPC) therapists who enjoy a team centered approach, control over their own schedule, working with clients they have a passion to work with, and are eager to continue to grow clinically.

Job Description

This position provides face to face counseling: individual, group, adults, children, and families. Mindsight clinicians are responsible for maintaining your own caseload, completing all required documentation as governed by insurance and company policy.  

As a behavioral health clinician, you are often times the first point of contact for our clients.  This means you should always be professional, friendly, and empathetic to client needs.  ​

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in face to face interactions as well as on  social media. 

  • Complete intake assessments which include documentation such as Mental Status Exams, Biopsychosocial, etc. 

  • Effectively create and carry out treatment plans using evidence-based practices.

  • Communicate with referral sources as well as Primary Care Physicians after initial intake as well as every 90 days as required by insurance. 

  • Complete progress notes within 48 hours of time of service. 

  • Complete timesheet daily reflecting the billable hours worked.

  • Maintain client’s charts and keep complete and correct documentation.

  • Complete discharge summaries as required by insurance. 

  • Develop rapport with clients in order to facilitate a healthy professional relationship. 

  • Exercise sound clinical and professional judgement. 

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling or related field and licensed or provisionally licensed in the state of Mississippi and from a CACREP Accredited Program (LPC, P-LPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.).

  • Knowledge and clinical experience with children, teens, and/or adults with mental health issues (trauma, anxiety, transitional issues, parenting, depression, borderline personality disorder, etc.)

  • Must have knowledge of current theoretical approaches to the delivery of counseling services. 

  • Must have knowledge of strategies for examining, applying and evaluating cognitive/behavioral therapy concepts. Additional skills required include thorough knowledge of the clinical aspects of the mental health field.
